Things to Do on Mt Hood During the Year

Hiking
Another thing to do when visiting Mount Hood is to go hiking. There are a wide variety of trails in the area including two-day trails, but it’s important to know your endurance level and research the trails properly because there are many to choose from that will take you past Mirror Lake, lost Lake and also Trillium Lake.

Stay at The Timberline Lodge
Last of all, but most important, another cool thing that you can do when visiting Mount Hood is to stay at the Timberline Lodge.

Built-in 1937, the lodge is now designated as a National Historic Landmark.

Despite its age, it has modern amenities and excellent decor which has been preserved over the last 80 years so when you stay here it’s like taking a trip back in time while also being able to enjoy the modern amenities of this area.
