Marble Canyon, Kootenay National Park, BC.

Marble Canyon is located in Kootenay National Park in British Columbia, Canada. It is only about 2-2.5 hours away from Calgary, driving towards Banff area to get there. Hike takes around 30 min to finish the hiking trail. It is simple and easy hike for entire family, children and senior visitors.

Marble Canyon Hiking.

Hiking trail starts with the map of Marble Canyon and a story behind it. You will find nice parking lot for cars and RVs right where the trail begins.

When you start your walk up the Marble Canyon, you will see a beautiful river stream of mountain water, that will take your breath away from just seeing the color of the water. Kootenay National Park is beautiful and Marble Canyon is fantastic.

The elevation of Marble Canyon is not high, it will take you few steps to get up to the top of it. The areas is well maintained and friendly for beginners in hiking. You will still be able to see some burned trees from 2003 forest fires.

Unlike many other popular attractions in Canada, Marble Canyon in Kootenay National Park is one of the least crowded places! It is peaceful, you will only see few people here and there wondering. Imagine wilderness and awesomeness of this place without any disturbance.

Getting closer to the end of the trail, you will once again get closer to the water. Although the trail takes 30 min, it took us way more then that, to stop and click all the pictures.

In the end of this short hiking trail, you will see a rewarding waterfall.
