Preikestolen Cliff, also known as Pulpit Rock, in Norway is a sight that will leave you breathless, even if heights make your knees weak. Towering 604 meters (1,982 feet) above the Lysefjord, Preikestolen offers a panoramic view that is simply unmatched.

The cliff itself is a nearly flat plateau on top, creating a safe viewing area despite the dramatic drop. While some daredevils inch right up to the edge for a photo, you can still appreciate the majesty of the landscape from a comfortable distance.

The hike to Preikestolen is a moderately challenging one, but the payoff is more than worth it. Even if you don’t consider yourself a seasoned hiker, the incredible views and fresh Norwegian air will make the journey unforgettable.
