Many people pay thousands of dollars to put a pool in their own backyard. Whether it's an in-ground or above-ground pool, both options aren't exactly cheap. But José Franco from Curitiba in Brazil decided he could build his own pool all by himself in his backyard as cheaply as possible. And he came up with the following idea.

He buys a simple pool with plastic walls and floor from a home-improvement center and sets it on a plastic tarp in his backyard.
