Every year when spring cleaning rolls around, I feel awful about having to throw out my old T-shirts that no longer seem to be in fashion. Even if I don’t wear them anymore, some still have sentimental value. Luckily, I’ve discovered a genius alternative. Instead of sending the shirts to the landfill, I’ve been turning them into a reusable shopping or grocery bag. This is a simple, clever craft to help everyone be “green.”
In this video, the woman turns an old shirt into a bag, and the best part is, there’s absolutely no sewing required! All you need is:
An old T-shirt
Scissors
With a few quick cuts and a few tight knots, you’ll be finished in just minutes! There’s nothing more inspiring than seeing people turn their discarded junk into something even more beautiful than it was before. From turning old coffee cans into an awesome wine rack to making an elegant chandelier from just scraps of wood and Mason jars, there are so many ways to turn trash into treasures.
This recyclable bag is no exception, as it can have so many uses. You can use it as a reusable grocery bag, a beach tote, or even an easy-to-carry, washable alternative for the kids to use. The possibilities are truly endless — and you’ll feel great knowing the item has been recycled.
